Speculation
Well that's take a look at what we know...
So far we know that the land is seperated into 3 parts for sure, and maybe 4 from other sources other then anet and ncsoft. Each area sounds different although they all are related to the same theme. After watching the ingame movie that was previously released, although we saw the offscreen version earlier, and by looking at the current screen shots, we can see this is true.

Also there was an issue of the scribe which hopefully everybody posting here did see...

What's next on the list, ah yes.. exploration. We do not have enough information to tell rather or not outposts and towns will be locked. However the terrain as far as graphics go seems more like prophecies. The one thing I liked about canthans terrain was it was less maze like. If you are used to prophecies on your canthan map there are areas that look like you need to run around. But actually most of the time you can still walk down or up the terrain. Elonia looks like it is in between the current games from the ingame cinematic. Rather then looking at the eye candy, look at the ground. Most of it seems wide open as most deserts do, but the parts you most likely can't travel over seem obvious.
So we got a sneek peak at the land, the wild life, the new classes, and so on. But we still don't have enough to make any final desicions on the final product. Almost anybody who enjoys video games should know by now that things can get added, or removed at the last minute. If you don't like the game, then why do you still play? Yes factions was different then prophecies, but I enjoyed it and I also enjoy the fact that factions also added to the world in which I explore. Yes they had locked gates, but at least I know I have this area instead of just one part of the world.
If you don't like Guild Wars simply find another game. If you like it then play it. Yeah there will always be stuff that can be improved, but crying about it all day isn't going to help. I'm tired of reading stuff like "well factions sucked so it's going to take all my wishes to come true to give nightfall a chance". This game is pretty dam good for not asking us to pay a monthly fee of oh that's say 15 dollars. They can't please everybody! We all have our own likes and dislikes.
As far as i'm concerned, if anything, it's another addition to the world in which our characters can explore, pvp, pve, search for items, and so on. To me it's all one game. Yes there are flaws, but those flaws unless they are bugs are based on personal opionion and not fact. So if you don't like the direction GW is heading, move on, and let the people who still like the game play in peace! lol or not! and torture yourself so you have stuff to rant about.
